Today Lilly is 4 months old

Lilly has her 4 month check up with a new pediatrician next week (which includes shots…booo) so I will know weight, length and the decibel level of screaming that she can muster.
What’s Lilly been up to lately? Well, I’m glad you asked. Lilly’s tiny hands have made their voyage and taken up camp in her mouth and are sometimes visited by her rattle or any other object that captures her attention. Wil tried to teach her to razz but she pretty much just ends up with a mouth-full of bubbles. There’s a baby living in the mirror and Lilly has finally discovered her. She’ll look at the baby and smile and watch what the baby does but loses interest pretty fast. I think she likes looking at herself! Her Bumbo is starting to become useful since she is able to hold her head up- right for short amounts of time. She’s been using her legs and putting her weight on them more and more:

The Keith household has welcomed guests this month. My mom and dad came to visit for the fourth of July weekend and Wil’s mom is in route here as I type.

I enrolled Lilly in daycare today, starting at the beginning of September. I actually lost sleep thinking about leaving her in the hands of someone besides family but I know deep down that it will be good for me and her (once I wipe away my tears.)
About a week ago, Lilly rolled over for the first time. She was having some tummy time and then all of sudden she rocked on her tummy, back and forth….back and forth and then rolled right over. The look of shock on her face having just been looking at the ground and then looking at my face was priceless. She was probably also shocked at the reaction the event got from me. I clapped and cheered with pride. Well, the performance has yet to be repeated but I will let you know when it becomes part of the regular routine.
